We come to your facility and deliver full performance restoration — tiles come off the wall, get calibrated, and go right back up, with no additional shipping.
Learn about dynamic calibration
LED walls drift. Panels age at different rates, replacement tiles never match the originals, and a wall that looked uniform on install no longer reads as one surface under camera. We measure every panel on a Brompton Hydra, an LED-specific system that uses high-resolution cameras, a thermal camera, and a spectroradiometer, then apply Dynamic Calibration so brightness and color match across the whole canvas again. Red Rock OPS owns and operates a Hydra, based in the US and traveling worldwide for on-site work. Tiles come off the wall and onto a calibration fixture on site instead of being shipped to a shop, so there is no freight, no shipping insurance, and none of the weeks of downtime waiting for a wall to come back.
- Per-panel measurement and Dynamic Calibration
- Restores uniformity across mixed, aged, and replacement tiles
- PureTone for neutral grayscale with no color casts
- Camera-matched results for broadcast and virtual production
- Per-panel reports: luminance, Rec.2020 coverage, thermal, and spectral
- Unlocks extended bit depth on R2 and R2+ platforms
- On site: de-installed onto a fixture, calibrated, and remounted — no shipping
Measured on a Brompton Hydra
Hydra is an all-in-one measurement system built for LED. Align at 4m or 8m, with no focus, exposure, or zoom to set, and it measures each panel in seconds using high-speed cameras, a thermal camera, and a spectroradiometer, then uploads data to the whole wall at once. Panels need a Tessera R2 or R2+ receiver card to carry Dynamic Calibration.
Dynamic Calibration
Dynamic Calibration unlocks extreme brightness, uniformity, and color accuracy, and is the basis for HDR on a Brompton wall. It works on new and existing R2 and R2+ panels, so older panels get new life instead of replacement, and it stays adjustable in real time through the processor.
PureTone and ThermaCal
PureTone removes grayscale color casts for genuinely neutral output and brings mismatched batches into line, which is exactly why it matters for film and broadcast. ThermaCal compensates for temperature so the wall holds its calibration as it heats under load.
What you receive
Interactive per-panel reports covering luminance, Rec.2020 coverage, per-pixel detail, thermal images, and spectral data, plus a documented before and after uniformity map you can hand to a client or a network. Red Rock OPS is an independent Hydra owner. Brompton, Hydra, Dynamic Calibration, and PureTone are trademarks of Brompton Technology.
On site, not in a shop
Tiles come off the wall and onto a calibration fixture on site, then go right back up. No shipping, no new road cases, and the existing rigging, mounting, and warehouse systems stay exactly as they are. That avoids the freight and insurance cost of shipping a wall out, and the weeks of downtime waiting for it to come back.
Built for the long run
Brompton builds Hydra-compatible panels for backward compatibility instead of forced replacement, so recalibration keeps adding capability years after install instead of the wall aging out. Recalibrating existing tiles instead of replacing them also keeps working hardware out of the waste stream, the same standard we hold every engagement to.
The foundation
Why Hydra calibration matters.
Hydra calibration brings new performance into existing Brompton R2 and R2+ tiles. It restores color, brightness, and uniformity, and unlocks extended bit depth features that elevate image quality, without buying new tiles.

On site, no shipping
We come to your facility.
Red Rock OPS calibrates on site, in the US and traveling worldwide. Tiles come off the wall and onto a calibration fixture on site instead of being shipped to a shop, so there's no freight or insurance cost, and none of the weeks of downtime waiting for a wall to come back.
Avoid unnecessary capital costs
Refreshing what you own, not replacing it.
No New Road Cases
Your existing transport infrastructure continues to work perfectly.
No New Rigging
Keep all your current mounting and rigging systems.
No Re-Inventory
Your warehouse management stays intact.
Performance, restored
What comes back to spec.
Restored Uniformity
Panel uniformity and brightness return to specification.
Grayscale Accuracy
Improved accuracy across every brightness level, not just the midpoint.
Extended Bit Depth
Unlocks extended bit depth capability on R2 and R2+ platforms.
Batch Consistency
Uniformity across mixed batches, essential for large-format walls.
Sustainability with real impact
Real impact, measured.
Refreshing existing LED tiles extends their service life by years. Every recalibrated tile avoids becoming e-waste and stays out of the landfill. Your company gains measurable sustainability value while maintaining full operational capability.

PureTone Color Enhancement
PureTone Color Enhancement.
Red Rock OPS also offers Brompton PureTone calibration. PureTone improves grayscale linearity and deepens tonal accuracy. PureTone enhances shadow detail and provides richer color for broadcast, film, XR, and high performance content pipelines.
Operational advantages
What it means for the schedule.
Fast turnaround
No shipping delays.
No transport risk
No damage in transit.
Reduced labor cost
No crating or repack for shipping.
Consistent brightness and color
Across the whole run.
Improved reliability
For extended productions.
Higher quality output
That holds up over the long run.
Many manufacturers design LED products with short life cycles. This forces early replacement and accelerates the path to the landfill. Brompton builds Hydra-compatible panels for backward compatibility instead, so recalibration keeps adding capability years after install, instead of the wall aging out.
The design philosophy behind Hydra
Your inventory, elevated
Keep it productive. Keep it accurate.
- Keeps assets productive longer
- Improves image quality and consistency
- Reduces environmental impact and protects capital
- The strongest upgrade path for any Brompton-based LED inventory
